These are a few of Oliver's favorite things...

We have been fostering Oliver for a week now and learning some of his favorite things...

His tennis ball... he carries it in his mouth while he moves about the house. Then, he will drop it at your feet for you to throw it.

Looking out the window... he likes it even more when you open the window.

Being outside... he would do it all day long if you let him.

Belly rubs... enough said.

Snuggling... he is a lap dog who loves to snuggle with you while you sleep.

Being happy... seriously, this is how he looks about 90% of his day!

Oliver went on his first road trip with us to Madison today. He loved sticking his head out of the car and feeling the wind on his face! He met a few new human friends and a dog friend. He didn't seem too interested in interacting with the other dog, he preferred to be around the humans.

Jolly, Green, Oliver?

While Jordan and I are at work we chose to crate Oliver. When Jordan came home on Monday, he let Oliver out of his crate, and it was dry! Oliver immediately went outside and took care of business.

Oliver simply loves the outdoors. Jordan had to mow the lawn, so Oliver spent the majority of the early evening outside. When I came home I took Oliver in with me and he cried at the back door to go back out. He followed Jordan around while he mowed and rolled around in the freshly cut grass. When he emerged from the grass his fur was green (the pictures do not do it justice)! The green faded over the night so no bath was needed!

Oliver met Jordan's grandma last night (she spoiled him)

Tuesday morning I woke up and took Oliver for a long walk. After we got back he ran for his tennis ball, he knew it was our time to play. I decided to try running with him. I ran 1.85 miles with him and he just trotted along side. I am a slow runner (average 10 minute miles), but Oliver forced me to run a little faster today. He seemed to really enjoy the run, but was tired out by the time we got home. He just lied around my feet while I got ready for work.

Bringing Home Oliver

Sunday was an exciting day for us - we brought home our first foster dog, Oliver! We could not have asked for a more fun loving, happy, snuggle bug. When we picked him up he came running over to us and gave us plenty of kisses.

After we arrived home Jordan took out Oliver's toys and they began playing. Oliver *loved* playing tug-of-war.

After playing for quite a while, Oliver found his bed.

It wasn't before long Oliver decided it was time to snuggle with me.

We put Oliver in his crate at night to sleep. He cried for a few minutes and then fell asleep. He must have been tired from all of the excitement - I know we were!
